How about a forum for posts with instructions for recommended maintenance of cheap stuff. Just read about the dizzy cap which seems like a cheap recommended change, and the EGR plate cleaning would also fit in that category. It might help the non-experts save a few Bob :)

Maybe a "stuff for under £100" limit would be a good threshold?
