Lost the "View New Posts" function

First morning connection, new posts everywhere or so (red logos in front of most of the forum's sections), click on "View New Posts" as usual and all I get is this:

The error returned was:
Sorry, but we did not find any matches to display. Try again and broaden your search criteria. If you were searching for new posts since your last visit, it's possible that there are none to show.

Closed the window, opened another one, same problem. Am I the only one?

It's a huge strike day here (business as usual, hey "c'est la France!" :roll:) but I didn't know the forum would take part in the action... :-(

OK, should be just a minor problem... Today's new posts appear when asked for, but had to browse through the forum sections to view the unread posts (which appeared as such, btw).

Maybe this should be deleted, then? :dunno:

I'm not ignoring you, I've just seen this post. :)

The only way this can happen is that you've actually read all the new posts since your last visit, quite unlikely but could happen?

I just recreated the issue by clicking 'View New Posts' then clicking all of them so they are 'read' then I clicked 'View New Posts' once more and got the exact same error.

The error isn't very human friendly because it uses the search engine and therefore when returning no new posts returns the search error, a little misleading.

Thanks Ed, but once you've clicked all the posts, the forum sections' logos are grey, not red, indicating that indeed you've read anything? Then, I had red logos and unread messages, but since it's all working fine since then, I wouldn't complain. Windows, IE7 and their mysteries, probably... :dunno:
