As we have a problems section and we do seem to get a few people who cant use the search function, it may be helpful to sort out a problems solve section, very simple to see what and how certain common faults have been rectified. :dunno:

Good idea.

However may i express concern that it will not stop unfamiliar users still posting about common faults.

It will if their posts are locked or deleted and they are directed to the right place.

andy, how about posting up a few common problems and how there solved, and we can maybe re-write them and Ed can place them appropriately ?

I will start one, what you think ?

We could do this together if you wish, revamp some tired ones ? Ive done my bit with guides, but I would do some more if we share them.

The Accord Type R " Good Running Dummies Guide, New and Revised "

Including detailed pictures

1. Oil, filter, spark plugs, HT Leads choices, fuel filter - including " how to guides "
2. Setting the Valve Clearnences - " how to guide "
3. Gearbox Oil choices and " how to guide "
4. Changing the Clutch Fluid, fluid options and guide.
5. Coolant change guide
6. Pollen Filter change guide
7. Throttle Body servicing guide
8. Inlet Manifold Emission Service

etc etc

Add some more please :agree:

After this we can move to bread and butter fast fit servicable items, ie brakes, ARB's etc etc

There needs to be some sort of into screen when you join to make the member aware that such a
section exists.

Perhaps they should be required to read through before being allowed to post :dunno:

That way it will cut down on the amount of moderating that is needed.
After all there is only 3 of them.

Really ? I didn't realise.
That is a good setup.

If you are going to revamp some of the how to guides i would be more than willing to proof read
them and also see if they make sense to an amateur like myself :agree:

Every little bit helps. Might make it easier for established members as well, incase they come across a known problem. Would save on the overused search function. :D

Good idea. However, I would say that now in some cases the title of the thread may need to be amended to represent what is actually in the thread.
