Supercar = highest level of performance in my book regardless of price (generally circa 200mhp club).

The main difference with the RR is the aerodynamic changes and weight saving. The engine outputs around 10bhp more, it is 15kg lighter. However the aero & chasis tweaks are where it is at and make a big difference to the cars performance. Add to the fact they only made 300 and you end up with your UK on the road price of £32k :shock:

Arrrr, Honda are following BMW's trend of a lifetime then.

10k for a bit of styling, loss of 15kg's and 10 ponies and half a second around a track :o

M3 to M3 CSL ring any bells 8)

Damm good looking car never the less though, looks really aggressive does that RR

An exercise in engineering I would say. I guess most people think of Mugen for aftermarket performance. It's good that this shows what can be done with changing aerodynamics and tuning the chassis rather than going for pure grunt or a stripped out racer.

It's obviously a fair bit cheaper in JDM land than our price, but still quite a step up (in yen) than the FD2R. Apparently most were bought to be sold on at a higher price :nono:

It did out perform it yes Kev, but iirc wasnt it 20k more or something ridiculous like that.

You could take a big slice out of that 20k or 10k in the Honda, take it to a reputable tuning company and get the stock type-r out performing the RR.

Im not doubting its good, no doubt it is, but is it 10k's worth of good, thats what id be asking myself before I signed up for it.

You pay extra for the badge 'CSL' 'RR' and the exclusivity that comes with it imo more so than the actual changes made to the the car :agree:

plus i cant think of any new four door saloon that is as exclusive.
