It's become apparent that the previous rule asking that people don't make inappropriate comments on ATR for sale threads has been ignored so here it is in black and white. This applies to the paid for adverts of ATRs only.

If someone has paid to list their Accord Type R for sale here you owe them the courtesy of not posting on their thread, this includes but is not limited to commenting on the following:

- Price
- Paint
- Condition
- Whether you like the car or not
- No derogatory comments

If you are genuinely interested in the car and wish to know more about the car then ask, otherwise please refrain from posting.

If the advert lacks clarity and detail then you may post up suggesting how to improve the advert, only one member need make these suggestions!

If you have a complaint or concern with the advert get in touch with a moderator and/or the advert author.

If people can't respect sellers adverts and flaunt these rules then account suspensions will be handed out as punishment, so please follow these simple rules and keep things sensible.

Thank you.

Totally agree with this :agree:
There are three types of people in this world - those who can count, and those who can't.

To go beyond is as wrong as to fall short

Just a thought, but is there any way that for sale threads could be automatically locked as soon as they're posted to prohibit people from commenting?

That way any correspondence with the seller could be done via PM, and you're less likely to get chit chat or opinions? :dunno:

Absoultley spot on :agree:

This is one of the reasons i did not bother putting my ATR for sale on here, I couldnt give a damm what pepole thought about my car but i knew pepole would stick their opinions in where they are not needed. Im a would not have to even pay for the advert by having a gold membership.

It also could put prespective buyers off

Agree with what you chaps are saying but to counter this I found when I bought my ATR from Tony there were positivie comments and people (who had actually seen it) saying it was mint. This persuaded me to make the trip up to Newcastle. Perhaps there could be some sort of rule that says people can comment on how it looks and condition etc IF they have seen the car first hand. :dunno: Just my view. :agree:

I need a long sleeved one for my next trackday, as my last one was shat on by a friends cat with a bowel problem :-(

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
