Good morning all.

I have been browsing this forum for quite a while now (mainly the 'for sale' section). Hopefully one day i will be an Accord Type R owner.

I currently drive a Mitsubishi FTO GPX which i use everyday and still love to bits. The reason why im looking at an ATR is to me it seems the logical replacement for someone who wants 4 doors. I have a son who is 2.5 years old and getting him in the back etc is just becoming a pain now, and the fact i have always admired the ATR's.

So hopefully soon i will be a full member with an ATR to show you. My budget is quite limited, i only have about £2-3k to spend on one. I just need someone to buy my FTO or swap it for a ATR 8)

all the best

Shaun.

2 to 3 pounds is really low

On a serious note, welcome - You should be able to get one for 3k, but it will be a much better car if you can strecth to 4k... Be wary of the 5th gear synchro as that's another 1k gone ;)

Ha ha yes, £2-3 pounds. Dont think i will find one for that lol. I have been doing some research about what to look out for, and that 5th gear syncro is certainly top of the check list.

Im in contact with a local garage and they have put out an advert to local dealers about my requirements. Hopefully something should come up soon.

Welcome bud :hello2:

Dont listen to what most of them say as they have never driven an ATR

I take it you remember Gibbo from the forum , I let him have a go in my car sunday and compaired to his daily hack I found his comment very positive

Thanks alot matey. Yeah i keep an eye out over at OcUK. There is alot of Vtec bashing.

I have seen an ATR going for a good price but i suspect that's because of the slightly worrying description :

What do you think ?

Hmm, alot of armrest loving here lol.

I have sent him a load of questions and then realised he is near Glasgow. I'm in Dorset. Oh dear.

I do need to sell my FTO first really, but i don't fancy walking around everywhere. Is there not anyone remotely interested in a swap :-)
