ATR Newbie from Northern Ireland

Just Purchased my ATR yesterday.
Its a 2001 in Black, 73k with full Honda service history. More than impressed with it at the minute!

Im no stranger to TypeR's, this is my 10th (First accord though! 8) )

Picked this up 30mins after selling my e46 m3 due to work commitments needed something a bit easier on the pocket for a while! :lol:

List of my Hondas so far;

1) NHB ep3 (standardish)
2) Silver ep3 (Few N/A mods)
3) Diesel EP3 (kept this 1 day lol)
4) Red Turbo EP3 running 310bhp
5) CW DC5 (NA mods)
6) Red Supercharged TypeR (Forged engine running 319bhp)
7) CW FD2 CTR (Na mods)
8) NHB ep3 with stage 3 NA mods running 263bhp
9) Black supercharged typeR running 316bhp
10) Accord TypeR (Standard for now :twisted: )

Out of all the hondas so far, the best without a doubt is the FD2 (as expected I suppose), 2nd The DC5 and honestly think I prefer the Accord to the EP3.. all round better car IMO.

When it comes to EP3's I obviously know the ins and outs of modding them, but I havent the first notion when it comes to the Accord. Wheres the best place to start in regards to exhaust / Mani and intake? (Hopefully getting a K&N intake tomorrow).

Has anyone ever had experience with a Dastek chip in theirs? A Company loca tome who have done all my work in the past (A.I Autosport) have done all my work in the past and deal in Dastek.

The one and only thing I can fault the Accord on is dropping out of the Vtec range when changing gear. Feels like it needs another 100 rpm or so to eliminate this. (I know with a perfect gear change this wont happen) but wasnt a problem on the Ep3's etc.

Anyway looks like a top forum with a wealth of information. :agree:

Exhaust Manifolds are available for around £500
Decat's are around £60
Airbox Mod is free
..and if you're feeling rich and want more torque and acceleration, a 4.64 Final Drive is available for around £300 (not fitted)
