Hey all  , recently joined the forum on the recommendation of my mate Keith Rann as he tells me this is a gr8 forum for advice, banter & cheap parts!

I’m looking to buy my very first ATR atm having once previously owned a 96’ Accord 2.2 vtec ‘beast’ (we named her Bertha after the kids program of that big machine in a factory if any of you can remember it?!) which included such luxuries’ air-con, cruise control, heated leather seats etc…non of which actually worked but it’s the principle that counts!

Got big plans for my ATR (when I get one that is) as I know Keith’s is a minter so I don’t want mine looking like a pup when parked-up next to his. I’ll be looking for a low-mileage facelift (been down to Oxfordshire to see Trevor Green’s at the weekend but she was still getting her cam belt / auto-tensioner etc done so I couldn’t drive her)

Hopefully I’ll be getting down to a few meets and events in my ATR when I get her and am happy enough with it to let you lot have a proper look around!

Dan.

welcome Dan
There are three types of people in this world - those who can count, and those who can't.

To go beyond is as wrong as to fall short

Please try to avoid getting a Pirate's Black one as there's already 4 possibly 5 of us in the area during the week

Good luck with the search :hello2:

Thanks for the warm welcome all and yeah Bertha sure was famous…or was that infamous for making people sea-sick going round the twisty-bits lol?!

Well I have now bought Trev’s Nighthawk Black (It’s not Pirates so I’m ok ^^) facelift ATR. Drove it back home last night, she is now awaiting some choice mod’s and a trip down to the body-shop (not the one you take your misses to) friday for a lick of paint and detailing to rid her of stone chips and car-pack inflicted door-dents etc…

I have de-badged her and fitted my Typhoon already and she's is booked into the bodyshop next week for a re-spray 8) Hopefully we'll get her looking like / better-than new again before too long!

Yeah sure I still need to get the wheels sorted-out yet, probably through pxwheels in Blackpool (maybe fit CTR centre caps & red-anodised nuts too, fancy eh lol :love10: ) then I’ll paint the brake callipers / rocker cover, fit new wiper blades / bulbs and polish-up the manifold so she’s still a few weeks away from being ready for inspection (but sounding well :agree: )
