Hello,
My name is Andrei, I am from Romania, I work at a Honda delaer, sorry if my english is not so great, I have some questions and I was wondering if you could help me.I am a proud owner of a 2002 Black ATR and I want to change my stock brake discs with high performance ones or at least better than stock ones.
Somebody gave me a nice deal for some EBC USR model, what do you think?
Also I was thinking in buying a vtec controller (Apexi) or rewriting the software (Unichip).
Any sugestions?
Looking forward for you answer.
Tahnk you.

For the brakes, you'll do well with some Bremtech discs and DS2500 pads.:agree:

Plus I have an Apexi Neo fitted and its a good compromise until you go down the full ECU route. :D
Lapping!

I thought we couldn't change the ECU with any gains in bhp or torque :?: :dunno:
I am a pest.

My last run on the rollers suggests otherwise but that was with the Neo, which is a piggy back ECU. :agree:

I've decided to go with Zimmermann brake discs (ventilated and perforated) and I'm thinking Ferodo for the brake pads.
Any opinions?

When I had my throttle bodied Golf mapped on DTA it cost me £400 & that was nearly 4 yrs ago. You are looking at a full day on the rollers for a proper job.....my map was re-worked from a mk2 golf rally car map the guy happened to have, but it will be more expensive/take longer doing it from scratch :agree:

Zimmerman discs are available for VW's. Decent enough budget brand but id be wary of cross-drilled discs. More bother than they are worth
