My post wasnt a "what car to get next" i was just showing people a response to some questions i had made - thought people might find amusing.

What part of the forum rules state that its not allowed?

Cant believe how pathetically over moderated some of the posts are on here for heavens sake that post did absolutely no harm whatsoever.

The whole point of moderating is to stop arguements, stop people breaking forum rules etc.

Its not to lock a post because the author, completely irrelevantly had been indecisive before in his car purchases and that the moderator resented him for that.

When i had my ATR the forum was nothing like that! Came on here today as i had an even more comical reply from him and thought some people may want to view it.

I've said it before (but my post got deleted.....) if you don't like something on a forum, there are a few simple steps you can take to ignore it.

1) Ignore it.

My post wasnt in the slightest bit detrimental to the forum but there we go.

If your internet powers make you feel better LL then that's your perogative!

Very true but I do listen and try and meet the happy medium.

With hundreds of different personalities on here it's always going to be difficult, all forums are the same, I remember when I frequented Honda Revs 'how bad it was', at least I try and stamp out cliques on here and bullying on here.

Josh, I've asked LL to explain his actions to you.

I think the problem is people see your car changing as a running joke because it's as regular as clock work, like Pagey changes his pants in fact, once a month after a 'drill'.

It should be more tongue in cheek than this though.

I don't see the problem with it personally, I like changing my car and i havent lost a dime on any of them! (except the ATR ironically).

I love a bit of banter and will always entertain it, like you said, tongue in cheek - fine, locking a topic for absolutely no reason!? Not so fine.

I was hoping to be a more active member of the forum again once i get the EP3 as it'll have a few things in common with the ATR and this is one forum thats generally busy with educated people. Unlike the CTR forum full of 'Bruvs'

Dave the forum is not dying, it will always have new "traffic" as owners change cars etc. I for one think the only dissapointment with the forum is the warning thingy... drinking and sarcasm though exists and I suppose there are a small number that needed dealing with. The only thing dying is the price of these cars, they're so cheap now.

To josh, good luck with your new venture. At least you are brave and like trying different cars, for that I salute your love of motors. :agree:

I would say that opposite is true. :dunno:

1. Mobile technology is allowing people to frequent the forum much more often than previously.
2. In my opinion, many ATR's are falling into the hands of true enthusiasts as they get older as many new 'performance' cars are unaffordable and still very slow in comparison.
3. There has been a recent spell of members modifying their cars for track use.
4. The new car industry is becoming dull and many people are fed up with the lack of decent driver's cars in the market.....
5. This forum is still a good place to be and has many entertaining characters.

The forum is still alive and kicking.

Josh - i've yet to decide whether your posts are genuine or you just enjoy "fishing"

Anyway,in answer to your question, one reason could be perhaps the most obvious - you keep informing everyone on this site everytime you change your motor/are trying to sell your motor, which by MOST peoples standards is very frequent. This is an enthusiast forum for ATR'S - in other words ( & please don't take this personally ) nobody really gave a fook after the 4th or 5th car change because they knew whatever car you did buy,it would be sold within a month or two

.....just an opinion :agree:
