Just thought id say i really like this forum and the people on it.

Im banned on ITR-DC5 perm, because of some stupid and silly rules being introduced (for commenting on a friends car which was in the for sale section... saying.... GLWTS...Great car) And voicing my opinion to the moderators, after giving years and alot of input and help to members i.e tuning etc....one of my DC5's being on TV, so i put a ITR-DC5 sticker on it. Also was banned on ITR-DC2, no reinstated.

I think this forum is quite open, more like MLR and the american forums, not completely locked down and censored!

Im on pretty much every forum, MLR, Scoobynet, VX, P1,DC2,DC5,Civic, etcetc and this one is my favourite.

Great work and people on here actually know about there car!! Thumbs up from me!!

It is a good fourm, Pepole want to go on scoobynet and the MLR then look back on here. Completley different, I even saw on Scooby net sombody hi-jacking a for sale thread with an identical car for less money and then commenting how rubbish the other car was

Nooo, no hatrick please!

I like this forum :)

Im reinstated on DC2 forum, however my account disapeared as a certain moderator "deleted" it.

The DC5 forum is so controlled and moderated its a joke. Its no-longer a forum, might aswell be in North Korea!

I've been on 2 other forums :

The Focusrs forum - boring, no banter, all they seem to do is clean their cars and none of them are interested in tuning or improving their car........ :-? :dunno:

The other one is Gixerjunkies, which has a good bunch of people on but the forum layout is horrendous to look at with horrible signature pics everywhere. :confused2:

The Prelude forum charges £10 to get into the decent section and I refuse to pay a tenner to talk about bloody preludes....

I might join the DC2 forum and see if I can get banned..... :p

I disagree with you Jayk.

I was a member on the the Celica forum for 7 odd years and there was maybe a few deleted/ locked topics.

Topics on this forum seem to disappear left right and centre. There also appears to be more bickering on here as well.

The upside is more knowledgable bunch of folks on here, very helpful as well.

I'd like the opportunity to reply to your post before I delete it.

I jest of course.

To be perfectly frank, yes in the past the mods could be a little heavy handed with certain posting styles and subject matter. The problem was not that mods were out of order or persecuting a particular person or people on here, it was quite simply the fact that the rules weren't specific enough to back up their actions.

The good thing to come out of these problems was a set of hard and fast rules, not to clamp down but to give us all a clear set of guidelines on which to operate and conduct ourselves. The issue before was a basic set of woolly rules that had too many holes and were often open to interpretation.

I personally feel that things have and will continue to improve now that we know where they stand.

This forum has always been open, easy going and brimming with banter. That's one thing I don't think we've lost or will ever change, nor is it something I want to change!

The mods do a good job of keeping the peace and upholding the 'written law', they aren't however detached or bias towards members, without them I can say for sure this place wouldn't be what it is today.

I'm realistic, I appreciate there will always be people who are unhappy with a service or situation and you cannot please everyone, all of the time. I just hope for the main part the masses do enjoy this forum and club, after all it makes my life easier.

:agree:
