hi im Leroy and finally at the supple age of 24 and after getting through at least 20 cars in the 7 years of driving i have finally got my hands on something governed by the laws of vtec

got this one:
http://www.pistonhea...les/1362578.htm

bloke put it up on the SXOC and i swapped my 380bhp S13 for it, was very very VERY sad to see it go as i wont be racing supercars anymore

looking forward to getting more accustomed to the accord and having a read about the forum to learn more about it

looked a bit of a shitter which added to the sleeper look, as u can see the engine bay was quite dirty too lol

it was running a GT2876R hybrid turbo, evo 4 injectors, stainless mani with 40mm ext wastegate, nice apex 3" exhaust, Z32 maf, front mount, S2 fuel reg, exedy racing clutch, dastek unichip mapped to 20psi (poss some other little mods too). The last dyno i had done was 380bhp n 276 lbft (torque was dissappointing but it still flew! The last pod action it saw was the straightliners event on 25th oct where i ran a PB of 12.7 @ 111mph

GONNA MISS IT SOOOOO MUCH

now ive gotten a more reliable car that hopefully i wont let the bug bite too early in modding it :s

it has a dvd player which dont work so may at some point get a new one, other than that in the future i wouldnt mind installing an apexi neo (cos i think they are cooooool), louder exhaust (as i will eventually miss the roar of the screamer from the nissan), and if i have the money and still feel the same way about doing so might spray it white

they have RVS on the rim and the seller previous owner said they were an italian brand, wish they were rotas tho lol

stuartswan - you narrowly missed out then dude, i just fancied a change as my pockets were getting more and more emptier by the week, but i will miss it so much :(

mremerica - what exactly do u mean? i thought the grade of oil for the service it had stated in the pistonheads ad was a bit thin, is that wot u meant????

The 0w30 would be too thin, mate. :sad3:

Keep an eye on your oil level and check at least once a week (absolute minimum) :agree:

I would suggest 5w40 silkolene or possibly 10w50, as you've just turned 100k on the clock. ;)

ok thanks mate, he had all the work done at honda too, they have just done cambelt and service so will get some new oil n filter for it in the meantime when funds allow

just noticed the speedo counter's needle flicked all way round and back again to 0 whilst ticking over, anyone know why it could have done this?

think might have to get the wheels rebalanced too as it was a lil juddery at speed

4 wheel laser alignment might be worth checking too, as the ATR can be quite sensitive to geometery changes caused by daily use/wear and tear/kerbs/potholes etc.... ;)

thanks for the welcomes all

stu - i did fetch it from cornwall and the roads were pretty shitty where he lived so maybe its hit a few bad patches in his ownership will have a gander about for some places that do 4 wheel aligning. I live in rushden, northants by the way

this is what work he had done so sayeth the ad (and receipts!):

"this honda has been as cared for as the manufacturers intended, full stamped up service history till jan 09, i have just had the big 99k service carried out by my honda dealer,so its had cam belt, balancer shaft belt and both auto tensioners replaced, all tappets correctly adjusted and oil change using the correc 0w30 fully synthetic as always, its had new front discs and pads in the last year, new sparkplugs in 08"

just had my first proper drive in it tonight showing some mates me new car and i really did enjoy it, only niggles are the accelerator peddle is very stiff, think its catching on somit or needs lubing up, also the tyres scrub when turning with weight in the car, the offset of the wheels make it stick out too much so might have to get new rims :o

The throttle issue that you mention is what I had. Does it stick open or stick shut? :?:

How often did the previous owner drive the car? Was it left to stand for long periods of time? :dunno:

he used it as a daily, so im not sure if it stood for long periods, when beginnin to depress the pedal u feel resistance in doing so; for about the first cm of travel then it feels fine, it returns to its position perfectly when u take ur foot off, so its not sticking if u get me just catching on something somewhere, will try n have a good look when i get a chance during the day this week
