Afternoon all,

Just a quick one to say hello. I'm not yet the owner of an Accord type r. I'm currently the owner of a stage 3 s14 200sx. But recent new additions to the family mean i must look for a family friendly car. But i still need to have my fun as well! I've always liked the atr. So i thought now is the perfect time to aquire one. :agree:

I have been looking in the forsale section. Many nice cars there. Just got to sell the 200 first to collect some funds. I've had a quick search but can't seem to find a buyers guide anywhere. Is there any real problem areas with these cars that i should keep an eye out for when looking???

I'm sure i will be about to pick brains and ask advice quite alot in the up and coming weeks.

And also, why are most of the cars forsale in Scotland?? Down in somerset i've only found 2 or 3. All red as well. I want a pirates black one. Looks like i'm gonna spend some time travelling for the right one. Oh well?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Welcome :hello2:

The buyers guide: http://www.accordr.org/index.php?showtopic...hl=buyers+guide

The ATR is a great family car so you won't go far wrong there :agree: keep in mind though that the rear seats do not fold down to give more boot space :)

Good luck in your search :agree:

Thanks for the link to the buyers guide. Can't believe i didn't find it myself, but i'm not renowned for my computing skills.

As for the 200, well the spec list is long. I will try and find the link to it on the sxoc.

Got it http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=2...ighlight=JACKO5

Its not quite finished in those pics. Re built the engine myself.

Spec:
Sr20DET fully stripped and cleaned. Head fully refurbed. Block faced.
1mm oversized Forged pistons
ACL Main and BE bearings
Tomei poncams
Trust 1.6mm HG
New OEM rockers
Greddy Rocker arm stoppers
Stainless tubular manifold
Garrett GT28RS turbo
Stainless turbo elbow and down pipe
Decat pipe
Blitz NUR spec copy exhaust
EGR removed
Nismo 555 injectors
Large core apex FMIC with stainless pipework
Full Samco pipes (excluding coolant)
Apexi airfilter
Z32 Mass airflow sensor
New OEM timing chain/tensioner and guides
New OEM water and oil pumps
Fidenza lightweight flywheel
Act heavy duty clutch
B and M Short shifter
Brembo 20 groove discs (front) with ferodo DS2500 pads
Brembo 10 groove discs (rear) with mintex pads
Apex performance Coilovers
Stage 3 custom re map by Horsham developments
Running Apexi avcr boost controller set at 22psi (safe margin for this setup, could be pushed further)
Boost, water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges
Front strut brace
White line arb's
Varley Red top battery

Thats all i can think of right now. But i know theres more. I have a mountain of receipts for the build. It will be sadly missed, but sometimes you just have to face facts and do the sensible thing. Like change it for a 209-212bhp sensible family wagon. :agree: As you can see in the pics it still sits on standard wheels. This does make for fun trying to put down the power, but i love the sleeper look. People think its standard with an exhaust and lowered. Wrong! Many Porshe drivers have got egg on their faces thinking that :p

So, anyone in the market for a sleeper 200??

Noicccceeee :D

The ATR is difinitly a top contender for what you want - you can use them as family cars during the day and come night, unleash the vtec and its a completely different animal!!

There's some nice ones in the classfieds (including Matt's (Ab2000s) not so standard one :D)

I think i seen a pic of your old one on here earlier. Did it have the Volk CRV pros on it? That was the wheel i was going to put on mine, but i just couldn't get rid of the sleeper look.

work equips i was told :confused2:

it may be an idea to get a ride in an ATR before you commit to one. if you haven't already, put your location up and a member whose close to you may offer a ride :agree:

edit. looks like you have, sorry.

Yeah, down in Somerset. And yes i believe they are work equips. Got the wrong wheels. CRVs are similar tho i think. I've been trying to find one at a dealer so i can go for a test drive. No avail tho. Were most of these cars sold to the North of the country????

Tell me about it. The only one i've found in somerset is right the other side of the county, and is red. Not really wanting a red one tbh. Silver is a possibility. But i really want a pirates black one. I think i could well be flying up country to find a good one. But seeing as i haven't even been in one yet, let alone drive one i'm a bit scepticle of commiting to a massive journey to find out maybe its not the car for me. I'm sure that won't be the case, but you never know. Are there many members on here from Somerset? Maybe i could be cheeky and ask for a passenger ride out.
