It's caught me out a few times too.. so far it doesn't search for words that are three letters or less... not sure if that's configurable, Ed?

I also prefer the old system. :-(

It helps slightly if you 'sort by relevance', but the desired topic is usually on the 2nd or 3rd page....

I don't understand, it's like the old system but with more options? :dunno:

Is it a case that people don't know how to use it?

Can you explain exactly what you don't like and what does'nt work i.e. what you were expecting and what actually happened?

well i'm on here long enough to know who wrote which thread etc

used to be able type in the keyword, then the specific user name, click the box underneath to search by that user only.. then click search..... and you only got threads by that person

now even though you do that you still get threads from different users once it has that keyword :!:

i thought the old search was perfect......

loving the new forum nice one ed :agree:
found it quite easy getting used to it after a good search and playing around :agree:

although i have noticed a couple of things not sure if you are aware of though :dunno:
all mods posts are massive and have gallons of space underneath which means the page takes ages to scroll down and also open up.
and also sometimes when getting to the bottom of a thread the page decides to scramble all the text to the left hand side of the page and thus unable to read :confused2:

not picking just observing and i know its still developing still :agree:
who is the super hero ?
sarge ?
no
rosemary the telephone operator ?
no
penry the mild mannered janitor ?
