hi just brought a atr on sunday. previously had 2 civic vtis then went to
a ibiza cupra but missed the vtec! its standard so after ive put put decent
engine oil and gearbox oil(due to notchey 2nd 3rd and 4th just when cold) in
some mods will follow!
they open up at 100k!

My gearbox also has a dodgy 3rd when cold. Best to do a slow gearchange of double de clutch. :agree:

cheers! yeah im double clutchin when cold at mo. ordered some amesoil mtf should be here soon that should help it yeah? im from guilsfield in mid wales. got a mate with a atr whos on here but dont know his user name yet!

I've been having the same problem with my gearbox, to be honest i was starting to get worried because of everything Ive heard on here about the pre facelift gearboxes. Ive got a post but I hear some of them can suffer the same fate.

Can you let me know if the oil fixes it? If so i might have to purchase some myself.

hi mate. changed box oil and it does feel less notchey when real cold and abit slicker when warm also.
would say go for it, def worth doin. :D
