Hi just wondering if anyone has had this problem, i own a 99 ATR, only had induction kit but i added a full mongoose exhaust including downpipe about a month ago, the car still has origional cat but as soon as i fired the car up my engine managment light came on, i took the car to my local motorsport garage who said its faulty lambda sensors, i bought 2 new universal sensors which have worked fine for me in the past on my civics but the engine light is still on and comes on everytime they clear it and still says its because of faulty sensors, ive done a bit of reserch and it seems that the accord needs to have original sensors that are made for the car, im having trouble finding new ones and the garage have thrown out the old ones which would have the code on them! does anyone have any idea where i can get new sensors from that will solve this problem?? also i read that there are 4 different types of sensor listed for the ATR so is this gonna make it harder for me to find them?

Contact Andy at Vtec-Direct since thats where most of us get our stuff from, including the sensor. Have you checked to see if its the primary or secondary sensor and also if the cables have been damaged.
Plus have you fitted a Mongoose decat since they need a spacer on the decat pipe to stop bringing up the MIL light.
Use the sticky on the paper clip trick to tell us the codes and we should be able to help you a bit more.

Hi thanks for the reply, i have already contacted vtec direct but as its satarday they were closed when i called, ive left an email enquiry so im guesing i should hear back monday, with regards to the cat no i havnt fitted the de-cat pipe im still running original cat. im pretty sure the garage said it was the primary sensor but i will call them back monday to double check, i had a quick look at the cables earlier and they seem fine as i had 2 new universal sensors fitted when the problem started.
also this may not have anything to do with it but i just hit vtec in 3rd earlier and had a total power loss, i backed off the throtle and tried again and it was fine! never happened before so im hoping its just a one off!! thanks again for the reply..mike

Check your oil level, RE the vtec loss.
