2001 Nighthawk Black Facelift Accord Type R

Ok I thought I would list on here 1st, before spreading the word.

109'000 miles
Honda Service History until 90k then an in-depth maintenance to the current mileage.
Absolutely loads of history and receipts since then car has been in possession to back this up.

I purchased this car from Alison (ATRgirl) in March 2008 and have covered just 19k miles since.

As a summary; engine oil changed every 4k, gearbox every 6k and valve clearances once a year.
From memory 6 months tax and around 3 months MOT.

In essence I have been thinking about putting this up for sale for a few months now. The primary reason is that I just don't use the car anymore and it seems a waste to have this sitting around. I walk to work so the car is only getting used on the weekends so the mileage will only creep up.

The car is a joy to drive, it goes well and handles like nothing else.
The car seen 3 full track days and the weakest link each time was myself.

Modifications

I'm not interested in splitting as I have built the car to this spec and would like someone else to use the car to its potential.

K&N Typhoon
MSD ignition leads
VTECdirect exhaust manifold
R7 decat
Prospeed custom single exit exhaust
Toyracer brake stopper
Poly engine mount
Performance Autoworks baffled sump

Lower front Tanabe strut brace
Upper front Tein strut brace
BC Coilovers
TRS harness's
Stripped interior with rear roll cage
3/4 front and rear plates
Fire extinguisher

Mintex blank front disk paired with Ferrodo DS2500 pads
Exedy stage 1 clutch
XTD lightweight flywheel
MFactory 3rd, 4th, 5th gear synchros
MFactory 4.64 final drive
JDM 98Spec Integra Type R 16inch wheels (with red lips)
Hankook RS2 Tyres

I can also drop in with the sale the rear bench seats, a spare alloy and 4 worn R888's.

Work

As previously mentioned I have a lot of receipts for all manner of jobs.
However the major work carried out in the last year include;

Cambelt, Autotensioner, Waterpump.
Andy @ VTECdirect had the gearbox out and installed the new synchros, final drive and worn bearings.
New oem piston rings.
ACL race big end bearings.
Exhaust valves replaced.

Bad points

The front bumper has some severe paint cracking around the headlight washer which is spreading. It doesn't bother me but a respray would freshen the front end up a treat.
The car is loud ! Its stripped (no carpet), so combined with the intake/exhaust this means you can hear everything going on.
Currently a fuse has blown for the rear lights, I'm looking into fixing this as of now.
The car also needs a decent clean but Ill treat it to the clay bar before any sale.
Oh and its relatively low, the car will go over speed bumps etc just fine but you need to have your wits about you.

£4800 ono

Test drives welcome however you will need to provide me with your insurance details 1st, if not I will have to drive.

Located in Newport (South Wales)
pm for more info and I can provide a contact telephone number.

Cheers Rhys

Cheers guys :agree:

Selling up is the only sensible option for myself, and eventually I can see myself putting the money towards a house deposit. I love the car and ill be sad to see it go, as I said the decision has been hanging over y head for a few months now.

I expect the car to hang around for a while like Matt's did so I won't be going anywhere
soon

i have worked on this car extensively over the time Alison and Rhys have owned it. It is definitely a great buy for someone, and goes really well. one of the quicker cars around. :agree: GLTWS :agree:
