4 x Bridgestone Potenza re040. (All the tyres are worn low, 1 was advised as nearly 1.6mm for the M.O.T. this year, the car has not been used much since.)
Featured in Honda revolutions calendar, March 2005 (main picture)
Pioneer mini disc player with six disc stacker. (Dolphins head unit)
Has had cambelt and tensioner.
Gearbox rebuild for 5th gear.
EGR valve cleaned last year.
3 keys, 2 alarm remotes.
Spare (5th) alloy wheel with slight damage.
Siemens Bluetooth phone kit, I will get this removed if it is not wanted.
Box full of invoices, old m.o.t.s, contracts of sale between former owners, old adverts from Autotrader, etc.
Type R tax disc holder.

The bad bits are,
There is a dent in the boot lid where I backed into a post.
There are some scratches on the bonnet. (somebodys cat!!!!)
There is a brake judder, the front pads and discs are worn. NOW DONE
The clutch is a little heavy. NOW DONE
And the tyres. (see above) NOW DONE

This was an advert I posted for my car in 2008 it has done less than 1000 miles since then, in December of 2009 and January of 2010 I have had fitted
New clutch
4 new tyres
Front and rear discs and pads
New cambelt and tensioner
new battery
Mot
brake and clutch fliud
coolant
2x wipers
Full service including fuel filter, gearbox oil, and spark plugs
And some other general bits, cleaning out the EGR valve etc so that I could start using the car again, but that has not happened so now the car is for sale again the only extra thing that has changed from the original advert is that I no longer have the 5th alloy wheel

Price is now £3000

Hi, I am down in Cornwall but the car is in the midlands, (we have just moved) but I travel back regular.

Firstly the car is in Walsall in the west midlands, I am down in Cornwall, I am not able to get any photos until the bank holiday at the end of august, because I am not with the car, I have to rely on other people to get me photos, I have left everything that needs to be passed on the new owner in the boot of the car so I only have limited information here.

There is no tax on the car so it cannot be driven at the moment, I am only in the midlands on Friday and Saturday morning until about 9.30-10.00ish then we are travelling home, the car can be taken as it is, but I will have 12 months mot and 6 months tax put on it if wanted, cash and cheques both need to be cashed and cleared before the car can be taken, I will sort out the tax and mot while the funds are clearing, and the car can then collected from my parents.


Below I have listed all of the questions that I have been asked, I have been honest with the answers, please remember I have not used or seen the car since February.

How does the car run?
The car runs very well.

Have the services been carried out? Honda or independent garages?
The services have been carried out at Honda and the garage where my father is the service manager, which is a Subaru dealer. Service history is listed in advert.

Is every service that's listed in the service book completed?
All of the services have been completed as Honda specify in the book, if anything it has always had more done than was needed, gearbox oil every other service, that kind of thing.

What’s the gearbox like? Any crunches?
Gearbox is fine, no crunches, it has had the gearbox mod done in the past.

How is the clutch though?
Clutch was replaced in December 2009; the car has only been driven for 100 miles since.

How many previous owners has it had?
4 owners before me.

How long have you owned the car for?
Approx 6 years, I will find out the exact date from the log book (it is in the car)

Why are you selling up?
I am selling it because I don’t have room for it where we are living now.

Do you posses the logbook etc?
I have all of the documents.

What about previous MOT's/bills?
I have all of the mots and loads of bills, some of the work I have done I only have the invoices for the parts.

Have you got a 2nd key/fob?
I have 3 keys and 2 alarm remotes.

What's the general condition of the interior?
Very good.

Is everything working as it should be?
As far as I know.

All the plastic and the buttons etc?
As far as I know.

What is the drive like?
It drives well.

Any squeaks or rattles I should be aware of?
Nothing last time I used it, I tried to always have all the work done, and keep it nice.

Also another thing about the steering, does it centre itself after turning?
Yes.

What's the condition of your wheels? Are there any scuffs/kerbing?
A few marks, yes, I will try and get some photos.

What about the tyres? How much tread is left on them?
All 4 tyres were replaced in December, only done 100 miles since

When the discs/pads were last changed?
In December front and rear. Only done 100 miles since

When was the last service done?
In December. Only done 100 miles since

Now onto the big debate about the paintwork. What is it like? Has it ever been painted above? I'm expecting usual stone chips etc. Any car park dings/marks/scratches anywhere? Has the car ever been in an accident?

I think that there is an invoice for a re-spray on the bonnet from years ago; I don’t have the invoices with me to check they are all with the car in the midlands. It has never been in an accident that I know of, a friend of mine owned it before I did so I have known of the car for longer than I have owned it.

Is it HPI clear or do you have a report?
It is HPI clear, there may be a report in the box of invoices I am not sure I did not worry too much when I brought it because I had it from a friend.

Does it have AC?

No

Have you had any mods on it whilst you've owned it?
Mod are listed in advert I have not added anything since I owned it, they were all fitted before.

Any problems that I should be aware of?
Problems are listed in advert, the car has been standing since February, so I cannot promise anything!!

Are you also open to offers?
I am not open to offers. Car is being stored with my parents so is not in my way and I have already replaced it I don’t need to sell it for the money if I had room for it in Cornwall I would bring it down here, I am only sell it because it is too good to leaving standing and only use twice a year.

I am based in West midlands (worcestershire) and wouldn't mind viewing the car if at all possible.
When is best time for you? Noticed you live down south now, but if you plan to come back up north and are available to meet up with the car, that would be great.
