Hi All,
I've just become the proud owner of a 2000 W reg ATR in red and what a vehicle! Would anyone be able to tell me what model key the car uses, it only came with 1 transponder key and have found www.sharingkeys.com but they only list the key model number and i cant find this info anywhere. Cheers :lol:

They do not have a master (RED) key like some cars. :(

ATRs didnt come with a red master key. You can get a spare key made from honda for around £70+ the remote fob has a code on the sticker on the back but if that has worn away then you will have to remove the battery then gently pry open the casing and you will see the code on the circuit board.

Find a fob with the same code (Andy aka VTECDIRECT or ebay) then program it yourself within a minute. I have a fob at home check your code and let me know what it is.

is there a reason why keys can be made by honda, but not by vtecdirect. some special machine? :dunno:

Keys are cut (I'm assuming similar to house keys :dunno: ) and are chipped and vtecdirect have not found a need for a key cutter yet :agree:
