Is it something to do with the subscription, as connecting to this site on my laptop and at work sometimes is completely impossible and doesn't respond? Any help would be appreciated, it's been like this since the site changed from the old design to this new one.

It's more than likely an old version of your browser, IE6 and IE7 will be slow and not fully functional. Make sure you update.

Either browser related, ISP, or any personal/hardware firewall/content filter you may be running.

I had the same problem Tony when the forum was updated. I just installed a newer version of my browser & happy days

That's the answer then. It's obvious a browser update is required our end. I'm using a windows 7 pc too, but I guess that doesn't auto update the browser. I can still get on, but only on my iPhone. My baby laptop Samsung NC10 will sometimes show some threads, and others it won't with "not responding" error. Very annoying
