Just to say thank you everybody but the car has now been sold 8/03/2012
It's been very nice to find out the history and knowing it will stay very much on the forums in the future is brilliant as this is where it belongs and has gone to a good home

Hi there everyone,

I just wanted to post for sale my recently purchased Honda Accord Type R formerly registered as P50ATR if anyone knew this car from the past.

Due to a change of circumstances I lost my job of 10 years a week after I bought this lovely car from a Honda dealer in Kent so reluctently ive got to sell her on but would like it to go to a good home and thought here it would be taken care of by one of you guys.

The car is in Pirates Black and has been really looked after up to this point im the 6th owner but you would think i was the second its a credit to its age and all who knows this car from its past.

Its got a massive bills folder and all the things I understand that are important have been included like the 5th gear syncro and cambelt and water pump with the tensioners all dated in 2008 and still has around 30000 miles to go before needs looking after again ! I have a bill for the clutch back in 2008 as well. Ill list the details of the car below as im not too sure what else to write as the car is very clean no arch rust or dinks anywhere and hope you all like and if i can answer any questions ill look forward to hearing from you !

126000 Miles
Priced to sell due to change of circumstances,Uk specification,Full Sevice history with folder full of bills,Cambelt and water pump changed,5th gear syncro and clutch changed as well,Original Honda Cd Radio system,Electric front windows,Electric door mirrors,Air Con,Recaro Seats,Alarm,Rear spoiler,Remote Central locking,ABS,Air Bags,Xenon Headlights with washers,MOT 17/05/2012,Road Tax06/2012,HpiChecked,Spare Key.

Recently Had just under £1000 pounds worth of work to keep the vehicle running well at main honda dealer.

Im looking for £2295 for the car please

That is my old car

God this feels strange, it was only a piece of metal but seeing it again is weird.

I spent soooooo much time on that car, there is a full hread on here to back it up.

With my dads boat deslie engine, he used WD40 down the inlet manifold which got onto the pistons. This then loosened them up and got it running again.

I think this will only work for boat engines though.--------------------DAN.

Richj85 and hosh cheers guys I do live near a rugby club so maybe and yeah it's real shame as ive never owned a car thats been so well looked after and cared for through it's life ! Thus I need a quick sale for the car before I become too attached and my partner disowns me for keeping it when because I lost my job I now need to budget for our family !

Many thanks for all your really nice comments it means slot that this ATR is so well remembered and received today.

Paul sounds to me everyone knew you when you had P50ATR ! Was the total Honda shoot a really good day and did it look really good in the magazine ? Looking at how clean the body work is in your posted pics you really did look after her so well ! Would really like to know more about how people used to feel for the car and hopefully still do because it deserves to stay within the owners club just so everyone can enjoy it how you originally made her stand out ! Are there any of the magazine pics still around at all ?
