New Owner Bought a Type R!!!

Good evening guys, I have just placed a deposit for a pre facelift model of the ATR 1999 I think 'V reg'. It all seems to be in very good condition ample amounts of previous MOTS and FSH, the only thing it does have the 5th Gear Sync out (which i have been told can be fixed for around £350, and once fixed it doesn't tend do go again).

So that's the low down, is there anything in particular I should be looking for? I have been in it and it still pulls and sounds like a dream.

Anybody suggest maybe taking it to Honda for a Service etc etc?

The £350 sounds a little cheap, and maybe just about covers the parts. If you are doing this yourself. :dunno:/>
I think a more realistic price is around the £550- £600 mark,
But some of the other members that have had it done will be able to advise you better. :agree:/>

I would not take it to a Honda stealership unless it had FHSH. :agree:

And the 5th gear syncro usually costs around the £500 - £600 mark to fix as I believe its £350 just for the latest updated parts. :agree:

Got my revised 5th gear syncro from Vtec Direct and the rest from Honda, 5th gear, fork, seals and oil.

After I extracted it out myself and paid £100 to have new parts fitted all in cost about £600
