Welcome Arron :wave: Car looks very nice hope you have many happy miles in it, what I would do is take the arch protectors at the rear off and do away with them or renew them. :agree:

had many happy miles thanks, just had her serviced, it has both front to rear brake pipes heavily corroded, honda quoted 595.00 to supply and fit :shock: am i right in saying that when they say brake pipes corroded, i could buy hel braided hoses and have them fitted and it would be sorted? sorry if its a stupid question i dont really know much about cars, got to start somewhere though :)

hel ones only replace the flex joins from pipes to the caliper. you could have custom ones made full length be around half of what honda quoted. welcome car looks nice love the bit on rear spoiler also

you want from the abs pump or prop valve back to caliper but they will ask for lengths you need

Abs is the large pump pipes nornally go from that to prop valve well on civic they did I may be wrong on atr. Id just get a ball of string and match string up to the pipes to measure the lengths

Hey bud,

That's an amazing example of an ATR - I should know as I owned her before ATRMac lol.

Good to hear she's doing well :)/>

With regards to the brake and fuel pipes, they didn't have a spec of rust on them when I owned the car a few years ago and unless living by the sea has taken it's toll that quick, I can't see them being that heavily corroded. Id be tempted to try sanding them down a bit and seeing if it is just surface rust. If surface, you can just treat the rot but if you're not sure, best off letting a garage take a look as they are an important component.

If they do need replacing, you're best off getting new pipes made up rather than Honda as it should be cheaper. A decent garage can do it with copper pipe and a flaring tool. The off the shelf hel brake lines just go between the caliper and brake pipes so they won't fix the issue.

When I owned the car, I changed the lower arm bushes, arb links, arb bushes and fitted the tein coilovers. Lewis changed the track rod ends which would leave just the upper arms as the old item. Blueprint are oe quality or I believe Andy sells some camber adjustable ones iirc.

Would be good to see more pics of the best - really regretted selling up :(/>
