Well due to personal reasons im thinking about selling my Car need something more executive with a softer ride. so shoved it up on gumtree for sale or swap to test the water!! so far been offer 3 BMW (320 ci se, 318 convertable and 320se ,) seat leon cupra R, mazda 3 sport and 1 lexus is200. so hard as really did like the lexus but has some issues,

do love the ATR but not practical anymore, so just wondering if you guys wanted something comfy, executive and still a bit power what would yous consider i put a few suggestions on my add but would like to hear you guys suggestions, no extra ££££ to put to it so the price of the car!!!

My gumtree link

£2,600

Is200 was good car loved it but was gutless the cupra r is quick with turbo but it dont rev and if you like vtec like most honda owners the cupra r will soon bore you. Bmw ive had two and hated both really quick. I looked at getting rid of my atr but decided to keep it just due to it being a rarer sports tourer now theres not lots left. I see from your add you said interested in st220 mondeo and a mg zt these are same size cars as accord and in same sports tourer category as atr but no where near as good. By look of your add you have a good low millage atr id think long and hard befor getting rid incase you dont like it and you struggle trying to get another. Atr is a good car for long journeys also not as gutsy as some cars and comfy and can get 2 adults 2 kids comfy in it for good distance.

Mondeos are better than you might expect. But I'd still rather have an ATR.
Why not just fit some slightly softer springs and upgrade the ICE? Wouldn't that make it 'Executive' enough?

It's more for comfort for my disabled sister and 74 year old mother hence why some of my suggestions of cars are ones that have softer rides More luxury so to speak for them but still offer some Power. That's all

Wasn't that impressed with the lexus, quite underpowered, it relies on its 6cyl noise to cover up its lack of go. My choice would be a e39 528i SE, plenty quick enough, cosseting ride and in my opinion a timeless shape.

That or the e38 7 series with the 2.8 or 4.4 v8 (not sure on mileage you are doing, my 740i was a fab car but liked a tipple :))
