2002 (02) Accord Type R in silver ***NOW SOLD***

Honda Accord Type R - 2002 (02 plate) - Silver

116K on the clock, 2 previous owners. I've owned this car for nearly 10 years and bought it with 27K on the clock.

MOT'd till July 2014 and taxed till end of Feb 14.

Lots and lots of invoices/receipts/service history available. Oringinal manual in binder. 2 keys.

Interior very tidy. Engine fine and runs well. All standard unmodified.

Bad bits: Aircon/Intermittant wipers/stereo not working. Small dent on front wheel arch(supermarket). A few paintwork chips on the front bumper/bonnet. Crack on rear bumper(supermarket). Small bit of rust treatment near bootlid. Crack on foglight. Alloys scuffed. Front tyres tread wearing very low. Suspension getting tired as it's on it's originals.

Priced to sell considering all of the above.

Selling as have purchased a larger, slower, family vehicle. sigh.

Can you tell me anymore about the electrical problems? Etc?

We'll the radio worked fine until about a month or so ago - the kids put coins in the cd slot! If I can work out how to remove it I've a feeling it will work when I tip them out. It illuminates and operates exactly as expected but with no sound.

The intermittent wipers, the garage checked the relay and stock and they were fine.They reckoned it was an electrical module that needed replacement. I can't recall the name of it though. The rear heated windscreen also works intermittently which I've just remembered. The module manages this too if I recall correctly. All other electrics are fine.

Air con wise the compressor gave up so I just got the garage to use non AC belts to bypass it. Electrically it's fine.

Will get some pics to you via PM as the cars still to be valeted (tomorrow) so I don't want to upload pics of the car being a bit mucky!

Met Steve last night. Genuinely nice guy to meet and have had the checked by Andy Baird at Automek a Honda specialist and have arranged to buy this from Steve on saturday :D

Hi Danny, pleasure to meet you too and I'm glad the car is going to someone who will look after her.

After nearly 10 years of ownership I was sad to see her go but it was time to say goodbye. :cry:
