Returning member! Back for another go with the ATR

Hello all

About to purchase my 2nd ATR.

1st was a silver 1999 pre-facelift but I never got on with it. I think I bought a bit of a dog tbh. Always felt flabby/down on power compared to my brothers post-facelift. Should have known better when purchasing as it had an eBay short ram intake :-/// (later replaced with OEM)

New car will be a 2002 in Milano Red. Totally unmolested & only 68k on the clock. Purchased for true mates rates- so couldn't turn it down!!

Have previously owned various tweaked cars. Started with an 8v GTI Golf mk2, then an ITB'd 190bhp 16v (2L block, DTA management/Jenvey 45's etc etc, Jetta 2L 16v & an iconic oak green 16v again with 2L treatment

Love my track work- Castle Combe being most local. I'm also very fortunate to have Performance Autoworks on my doorstep. Rich is without doubt a true Honda specialist & the nations leading H22 expert...

Made the wise move to the red H with a dc2 ITR & currently have a heavily dieted & PAW fettled 4g BB1 VTEC Prelude in the garage for track work.

Have been punting round in a remapped Leon TDi but I'm an n/a man at heart. Can't beat a lovely induction noise!

Will post pics once the new motor is collected. Off to subscribe now...

Car collected from Devon today!

Just on 68k on it. Feels taught & precise.

Best £1500 I've spent. Im glad to say its everything my last one wasn't!!!

1998/99, H22A, Red, Solid-Fabrications 2.25" Tri-Y 4-2-1 manifold, Cat back system, K&N Typhoon, HEL Braded Brake Lines, Polybush Engin Mount, Ferodo DS2500 Pads Front and back. To get: Bremtec drilled and groved Discs, Strut bar upper and lower.
