Red ATR Cheap prefacelift 1999

115k no mot or tax, fsh upto 95k then serviced privately

overall quite good condition, some stone chips front bumper, lip has scrape on bottom, passenger rear quarter has small dents near arch, not faided paint. No rust on arches, tbh i would say its quite tidy for age. very clean interior
Fogs, clean recaros, brand new tyres. Engine pulls well gerabox has no crunches and works as it should

Bought this few weeks ago on ebay. Was going to get it through a mot and use it but seems like there may be more work required then i thought so putting up for sale. I have replaced ABS sensor, knock sensor as it was broken and had power steering pipe repaired, the underneath of the car is quit rusty so therefore i would assume some bushes, pipes may need changing. maybe clean rust off and paint/poweder coat subframes etc.

£1400 includes private plate, located in langley, berkshire.
I have been as honest as possible, the car can be viewed and test driven providing you have some sort of trade insurance as it has no tax and mot, the price reflects what i paid for it,cost to get it to me and the few fits ive replaced. If it dont sell then i will break it

That's a shame. You obviously got it cheap, are you really not tempted to clean it up a bit and keep it, doent look too bad to me, won't cost you much, just time then you could have a great car. I dont see what else you could buy for say 2500 that would be better than this after a bit of work.

Looks to be really let down by that rear subframe and suspension! Don't envy you having to take all that apart!!

pretty much every bush under the car need changing, the rsut is up to the shocks, whole subframes covered in rust. Its like the car was sitting in a swimming pool. underneath. The exterior and interior of the car is 9/10. Engine runs very well and is backed up with almost full honda service history.
Had it up for sale long enough, didn't get any interest.

I'd be interested in the front splitter if you decide to break it.

Well, talking from experience of taking the rear apart I would recommend not actually removing the arms or hubs, just drop the subrframe complete with arms and hubs attached and clean it up, you could cut the shocks out if the bottom bolt is seized and just replace them. The front does not look as bad and would be quite easy to clean up and apart from that you will probably want a new stainless exhaust but I think for the price of that and some coilovers it could be a great motor. The time you would spend working on it would not be much different to the time you would spend breaking it and posting bits... :agree:

I wonder what the bonnet and wings are like, condition wise? ;)

I'll be closing this thread soon so the OP will need to start another in the breakers section if he decides to go down that route. :agree:
