51 registration Accord Type R, 92000 miles on the clocks.
Mot 'till end of November, declared SORN due to the daft continuous taxation rules!
Low Mileage for age and in good condition. Timing belt/pulleys replaced 18 months ago. New Eagle F1 front tyres 4 months ago, rear tyres have plenty tread.
New front discs/pads last November. Oil/filter change 4 months ago.
Folder full of receipts from previous owners, a well looked after car.
Had gearbox rebuild when a couple of years old so the infamous 5th gear synchro problem will not be an issue. Stock Recaro seats are in VGC with only slight bobbling to the fabric on drivers bolster.

Only mods are a K&N typhoon induction kit and an aftermarket rear exhaust system.
Will require a replacement clutch as it has started to judder badly when pulling away. It is still driveable but I wouldn't drive it any distance. A genuine Honda clutch kit is £160 and I was quoted £250 labour to replace it.
It could do with a good wash as it's been sitting on the drive for a month while I decided what to do with it. The wife has decided for me and out of the 4 cars on the drive it's either this or my 205 GTi :(/>

Car is located just south of Inverness, Scotland. Waiting for the V5 back after transfer of my private reg.

Any other details call on 07557 411941

Oh, it had new plugs/leads/dizzy cap/arm a few months ago as I had issues with damp in the dizzy cap making it reluctant to start. Also had a new battery about a year or so ago and I've resolved the ignition switch issue that was making it start and then randomly cut out.

I wasn't sure what I should be aiming for in terms of price, am I about right? I know it's not driveable and I live pretty far north but the car itself is decent. Had new brake pipes for last MOT and a fluid change too obviously!

My wife normally drives it so it's never usually going slow enough to see what kind of car it is ;-)
Is yours the black one I've seen a couple of times?

Been offered £800 so far from some mystery texter, not sure if they were joking! might just hold out a bit longer :-)

Oh, and It's more trouble than its worth to get it fixed as the insurance lapsed and I had to cash in the tax so I can't get it to the garage without hassle/expense.

No way would you accept £800 for it, surely the engine and box alone are worth that?? I personally would never sell an ATR for £1100, at that price even with the hassle I would break it.

You are right the insurance/tax/mot rules do make fixing cars and even buying certain cars a ballache. I appreciate that with the clutch in its current state it is going to put people off but aren't you tempted to fix it, man it only has 92k on it. I'd drive it to the garage with no insurance for the chance to put a clutch in it and sell it for over 2k, or get them to pick it up for a few beers (trade insurance or low loader)...

I know what you're all saying but time constraints are unfortunately against me. My 205 needs an mot/tax and my golf will soon too. Plus I'll be getting GBH of the earhole soon from the Mrs for having a driveway full of cars (again!)
