picked up my first ATR just over a week ago, it's a post facelift in silver, which also happens to be my first car, so counting myself pretty lucky (don't worry, I've been driving for work for the last 5 years). Whilst I've got plenty of driving experience, my vehicle maintenance knowledge is some what limited beyond fluids and rubbers so looking forward to learning alot. Was sold with 130000mi and a slight water leak from the pump, on inspection it had a slight fuel leak and rust which needs fixing, which helped bring down the price. It's completely stock apart from a stainless steel exhaust (the last one fell off apparently), and it is of standard spec apart from the tips, which I'm still unsure about.
Felt nice on the way home, and pulled nicely though I obviously didn't want to push it and didn't lose any water. After getting her back, we (my friend knows cars) changed the p/s belt and alt & a/c belt, whipped off the fuel rail and found injector 1 has been covered in sealant and was missing the lower seal. We happened to have an apparently identical seal, so popped that on.
Having put down some miles over the week, I realise there is still a fuel leak so have ordered a new set of seals from Honda, also replaced the spark plugs, lubed the throttle pedal and cable, cleaned the throttle body and air intake, put the panel filter the correct way round (pretty embarrassed I didn't check it the first time), and the difference it has made! And after 600 miles still not lost any water.
Still need to change the oil and filter and weld up the rust, and I think it could do with getting the valve clearance done, but it's such a nice drive and I haven't even remotely pushed it yet.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions, but I'll save them for the other sections. I'll post some pictures up later on, cheers.

They all need some maintenance at this age but change what needs changing and the rewards come to you in bucket loads />

I'd check when the last cam belt was done and change that when the water pump is changed. They should be done 5 years or 60K miles, which other comes sooner.
Also make sure you change the auto tensioner at the same time as these can fail as well.
