Hi :wave:

Got myself a cheap ATR on the weekend.
It's not been looked after, It's got rust, it's got 5th gear synchro issues and it's got a list of other smaller problems.
First thing to fix is a clock fuse that blows instantly and the second thing is probably the ball joints, drop links and ARB bushes as it clonks a fair bit and the ride is very choppy!
I think I mostly paid for the engine and the rest came for free.

Honda wise I have had 2 DC2's, a DC5 and an EP3, already prefer the ATR to the EP but I haven't decided whether I like this one enough to fix it up or just keep it until it dies (of rust presumably).

I think give it some love personally, but there comes money so its up to you. Not sure how bad the rust is though?

Inner bulkhead looks fine but the chassis leg/arch area is looking pretty shabby. I will probably fix it up, i'm a sucker for a type R.

You checked the bulkhead properly? taken the arch liners off too?

Get it properly inspected and underseal it if you intend to keep it

Haven't taken the arch liners off, can't imagine it will be pretty. I'm working on the assumption that it will need sorting out properly at some time this year, that and the gearbox will need rebuilding.
