B2yls will it not be better and possibly cheaper just to change the final drive and lightweight flywheel? Rather than a map?

Hi. I don't know to be honest. Previous owner seems to think it already has a lightened flywheel. I don't think that a longer FD will be quite the same as getting the crossover down to 5k rpm or lower. Ive not looked at the FD option on the ATR, but I know they can be close to £500 for other models, before you crack the box open.

Either way your in for a big spend pal.

Ecu fitted mapped is cheaper the fd and box work (because you might as well do clutch if box out)

Or do the lot!

I would leave it as is and enjoy.

I think you may be right Sam. My money would probably be better spent elsewhere, although I am tempted so may come back to it at a later date.

Seriously, it never crossed my mind to sell it so quickly, its really growing on me this last couple of trouble free weeks. But I'm certainly not precious about it so I could be tempted.

I wasn't serious, but if you are....I'll pm you later.

Ok, not sure if you've seen my other thread (http://www.accordr.o...449#entry771449) but this is whats happened with the car today.

Thanks to a special unnamed person, Ive had a boot popper fitted that will work off a 3 button remote. I'm guessing a few of you will say theres nothing special about that and that you've probably all had it done. But all this is new to me, I'm kind of out on a limb over in Blackpool. Freestyling if you like.

I also was supplied with a lovely freshly refurbed grill in gloss black that I love. I'd been toying with this idea anyway.

Chrome 'Honda Accord' kick plates that look so much nicer than the nondescript plastic stock ones. I have the back ones to do as well but haven't got around to it yet.

And an interior light upgrade that provides curtesy lights for driver and passenger. Cant wait to get some nice LED's in them once Ive figured out which are the correct bulbs.

Non of this could have been achieved without the help a fellow forum member. A very special thank you from me.

Cheers.

Yeah, I really like it. I wouldn't bother with a sub myself. I'm already conscious about being an old man driving an almost inappropriate car, without having music banging out. :-)

Thanks Sam. I now have a new wiper motor and mechanism, so hopefully I can get the wipers sorted next.

Thank you everyone. 1 X new board plus 2 X new 3 button fobs arrived today. Fobs stamped with Honda logo's, not on the listing images so that was a bonus.

Fobs and new board programmed in about 20 seconds, I reckon I'm becoming a bit of an expert!!!! :lol:/>/> Anyway, I'm so happy to have my boot popper and to be able to use it.
