New Members Can't Join - apparently

I've had a few people mention to me now that they have had trouble joining the forum.

Can this be looked into please? :agree:

I’ve put a post up FB for people to try again and report back with any issues on captcha or not receiving activation emails.

Are the activation emails automatic Ed or do they wait for approval?

They should receive an email to active - stops the spam bots, of which there are thousands.

If they're not receiving an email, that's a problem - so let me know!

I think the problem is that they aren’t receiving the activation email.

Someone else has said that they previously tried and gave up, but now they are trying again they can’t use the same email address and it’s the only one they have.

Ricky and I met a nice couple at the ferry port in Dunkirk this afternoon. Honda aficionados, both of them, in a newly-acquired ATR they'd taken to the Ring.
They found they couldn't join, either.

I think the email server got blacklisted, the forum was spammed by thousands of new accounts (all random, crappy emails) and because captcha has been removed - it sent out all those emails to approve!

Since cleared and hopefully will fix any ongoing issues for new registrations.
