Hi all i hope to pickup my Euro R this weekend..

Im currently in Australia but heading back to Ireland in 2 weeks and been shopping for some time for a clean example and was even looking at importing one but have found a good one.
If anyone can direct me to an Insurance company for the car that would be great,obviously not been home for 10 yrs my Irish license has expired and i only have 2 yrs no claims bonus from Oz heading back with me so received a shocking quote yesterday i don't even to repeat it!
Even at 43 yrs old!!
But looks like i might be getting my wife to insure it first.

Also see lack of car clubs owner forums back home have they all faded away or is there a general car owners one that someone could recommend i use to be on Honda Haven but that seem to have dissolved.

Hi Greg,

for insurance, this year I have gone with Adrian Flux who were competitive for the first time. Previously insured with Brentacre. You should also try Greenlight.

There isn't much activity here these days, its all mostly on Facebook. Shame really as I find forums much easier to follow.

Regarding the CL7 Euro R, on here there is myself and kp as far as I know. I don't think there is a dedicated UK forum. kp is also from Ireland and I can probably put you in touch if you like. In fact I'll message and point him here.

That looks like a fine example, brakes already upgraded I see.

I insured with Elelphant Insurance, not sure if they cover down south though?

Most UK Insurers won't cover Eire as it is outside of their territorial limits.

Best off searching the web or local car clubs, etc for recommendations. Google comes up with Chill, Abbey, Power, and a few others.

The residency, licence and Aussie NCB may also be barrier you'll have to cross!
