Hello everyone from Croatia,

I am in the process of buying white accord type r to add to my garage where i have few other 90s japan cars.

Is here someone who owns white ATR who is willing to share some info with me since there is not much online?
Since now i have find some info that first 50 cars produces were limited edition and that they are only ones in that color ever produced.

Do last digits in serial number mean (for example 000003) that the car is 3rd to be rolled of production line ?

Championship white ATR's were ONLY available on main land Europe and I think they made more than 50 but I think only the first 50 were numbered.

No idea if the chassis number equates to the build number? :dunno:

Chassis numbers below 000100 are prototype builds so you'll only get Mass Production VIN's above that level.

In terms of numbering, I don't think they were first off the line and in chronological order but it's very difficult to trace info back 20+ years.

About chassis number, if i remember correctly, lhd and rhd car have a different vin number...

I have to say that this cars chassis number is smaller than 000100,Will post some pictures im NeXT few days.I am in Metkovic,Sven you are from Croatia aswell or ?

If i remember correctly, LHD cars are SHHCH1590 and RHD cars are SHH1580 , so the VIN number won't be revelent, as we don't know if LHD and RHD cars were produced in parallel or not.

About my location and my origins, my parents were born in Bosnia , i talk a little bit bosnian but not too much. I still have family there, as in Croatia and in Serbia. I won't talk about the others country ( Germany, Dutchland, United States,...)

I particularly ask where you are as i'm actually talking with a guy in Croatia, near the adriatic coast, who works a lot on rally cars !

The 1580 and 1590 do not denote LHD and RHD, there's UK and European models with both structures.

And if you have a VIN below 000100 then it just means it wasn't the first year of production and they didn't make any changes. Just assumed they would have done back then as they do quite a few changes year on year now.

You are surely right but i have tried with both VIN numbers on the official Honda auto parts web site.

and each time i enter a CH1580 vin, it appears that it is a RHD number, and for a CH1590, it is for a LHD car.
I have done testings on differents number and each time i have the same difference.

So i don't know what to think , if you have more accurate informations, please share them to us as it is really interesting me! :p

I've checked the master Honda parts reference material and this is what I've found.

KE (UK) - RHD - CH1580
- CH1590

KG (EU) - LHD - CH1590

So a 1590 can be both LHD and RHD but a 1580 is LHD only.

I can share the document via email if required, 6mb in size.
