Hello all, got the heads up of this site from a very helpful chap on the Euro R facebook page.

I picked up a 2003 CL7 Euro R a few weeks ago, drove it form Sydney to Hobart and loved every minute of it. With the exception of the exhaust drone which will be sorted next week (both rear mufflers were removed by the previous owner).

Its generally in really good condition, Milano Red with 130,000kms. Full credit to the previous owner, it has all the documentation, log books, Navi CD's, manuals etc. Was imported to Australia mid 2021.

Looking forward to understanding more of these cars, working through the niggles and keeping it in good condition.

No huge plans, I want to join a motorsport club, doing some track days etc but nothing to serious.

Mods...perhaps some weight reduction but I see this as being pretty $$$. For the moment stock is OK but I am looking into CAI (GruppeM perhaps), a better exhaust manifold etc to help it breathe. Also eyeing off some Spoon 4 pot calipers when the time comes to do the rotors and pads.

Also keen to modernise the audio and integrate some bluetooth/GPS/handsfree etc...but still retain the OEM Navi system (also has a DVD player, MiniDisc unit). The car is my current daily driver so nothing to crazy.

I will endeavour to get some pictures up later today.

Missed the edit time out...ill start a build thread at some point but a few items I will be working on;

1. LCD screen above the Navi...seems to randomly work. I thought I may have inadvertently done something in the settings and it works on ambient light (on/off) but it seems some average soldering behind the board is to blame. Seen some good DIY guides so thats job1
2. Headlights, they are dull (exterior) and in need of refurbishment...seriously considering "upgrading" to some OEM HID's that I think was available on latter CL7's?...need to research or just fix current ones
3. Brakes - as above, Spoon upgrade looks nice but holy batman $$$, will do braided lines etc when the time comes which might be a Christmas present to myself ;)
4. Bluetooth/Mobile Phone integration - will look into single DIN options and replace the mini disc player as the DVD player needs to stay to make the main HUD/HVAC system work

Any links to the above too see what others have done would be great.

Hey, I am new to the Honda scene so I didnt even realise there was a Type R Accord, thought all Accords were Euro-R's!

Ive been on the hunt for a decent forum for Euro-R's (such as this) to assist with niggles and learnings. Yet to really find one :(

Yep, from around 98 - 02 there was a UK produced (Swindon I think) Accord (mk 6) Type R produced for the UK and few left hookers for Europe. Honda code CH1 and only around 2k made AFAIK. Thats what this forum is.

I dont think that there is a specific Euro R forum, but down in Oz there are quite a few CL7 Euro R's so you may find something more localised. Not that you're not welcome in the UK obviously.

A warm welcome to you :) Congrats on the car! Though the CH1 was always the car I wanted most, the CL7 was a close second along with the FD2 Civic.
