With my dads boat deslie engine, he used WD40 down the inlet manifold which got onto the pistons. This then loosened them up and got it running again.

I think this will only work for boat engines though.--------------------DAN.

Hi everyone,

I'm 26 from Chesterfield in Derbyshire. (next door to the Peak District for some fun country lane driving :agree: )

Got My Black 2000 X reg ATR late Dec 2007.

Needs a bit of TLC at the moment

EG Valve gap checking, EGR valve, Front Suspension Creak, 5th Gear Syncro, Cam Cover Shabby

Already sorted the EGR valve thanks to this site, and the cam cover has been renewed with a shiny red one 8) and i'm hoping to look at the suspension this week (so long as it stops snowing for a day so i can do it :-? ) and have transferred my stereo system from my previous car (Saab 900 2.0 Turbo)

Just need to sort out the expensive bits now. :sad5:

Not to mention T cut and polish to make her gleam again.
