Should probably introduce myself

So I've been lurking around a bit here and on the FB page for a little while longer. I couple of months ago I started looking and wanting an ATR, but nothing was really taking my fancy, especially as I was only wanting a PB, I then started to notice a few CL1's popping up for sale and it got me thinking. Enquired about one or 2 but heard nothing back, by this time I'd gotten a serious bug for one.

A couple of weeks passed by and thought sod it, they are pretty hard to come by over here as it is, so I shot an email to TorqueGT. This is where things started to heat. I gave them the go ahead and the search was on. A few went through that were OK, but one was a complete standard 84k on the clocks minter. We both thought yes, that's the kiddie buy buy buy. That didn't happen. The seller had a serious reserve on it. (This car is still doing the round now and has since been downgraded to a 3.5 at another auction house it's been 7 weeks and still not sold...)

Then another white minter rocked through, 12 owner, full SH and all documentation. Real deal, again buy. Ony it was Bye.... slightly out of budget....

A blue one went through mega clean, and yep, slightly over budget.

A few black ones, again, going over budget.

By this time it'd been roughly 4 weeks and I'm getting down. I'm not getting one FFS damn russians (huge following for the CL1 in Russia)

Then, bank holiday weekend, on the Saturday morning, one comes up. Lowered, full exhaust and a set of wheels on it. The low quality photo's were iffy, but something about it said this is the one. I ssent an email to Darren at Torque saying this is the one, get it. I'd already revised my budget prior to this due to the Yen getting ever worse. I got the translation back, everything checked out, green light was given.

At this point, I'd like to point out that importing or even bidding on a car the other side of the world, is worse than the last 5 secs on eBay. Especially when you have 24 hours to wait before the car goes through. The Sunday I kept looking at the LOT wanting it. JDM Auctionwatch post up the photo's Sunday evening. At this point i'm going FUUUUU. Don't show the joe blogs of this world the car I want, stop it now..

Monday morning comes, I log into the auction site, it's not coming up sold or not sold. Shit, have I haven't I.... The suspense is real I tell you. Then I get an email from Darren. We'd won the damn car and just under budget. Thank F*** for that. I was now grinning from ear to ear.

Anyway, enough of my waffle, pics are what you really want so here they are, along with a the list of mods I know so far....

Buddyclub coilovers
Topfuel 1000 induction kit
Mugen exhaust manifold
Feel's Twincam ally radiator
Fujitsubo power getter exhaust system

The wheels I don't know, and when I requested more photo's earlier in the week, they'd already loaded the car onto the boat.

The taillights will be getting sorted. Certainly one of the first things I'm doing once I have it here. Hopefully some wet sanding will sort them out if they are sprayed.
