Isnt one of the purposes of the moderating team is to look after forum members best interests ?

I might as well become an authorised trader, and post up several pages of rifle bits I have for sale and that I can retail, if I did this it would be as relevant as certain traders selling parts of hundreds of none ATR parts.

Certain traders post on here offering " discount special offers " and after ive done a quick search and found the exact items cheaper than advertised here, so its hardly a special offer imho.

imho, this is one of the BEST car forums available on the internet, I can just see a pattern, following trend by going down the exact same route as Scoobynet with several traders jumping on board and clogging the board full of irrelevant items for sale, making the board more like Ebay than a discussion forum.

We are bunch of ATR enthusiats who love to talk about our cars and have the banter. The scoobynet trend is exactly what we dont want. I just feel quite strongly about the descisions that are being made, and imho there not being made rightfully, as several other threads advertising car parts are completely none atr relevant.

It just appears that traders are being allowed to advertise anything due to being friends, former customers or former other forum friends of the moderators, and due to this common sense hasnt prevailed.

I have nothing against ANY company or trader trying to earn a few quid ( the motor trade is hard ) but for gods sake, at least take time and effort for listing parts for the ATR, whatever the price will be.

I genuinely think that the moderators do a great job, and its completely on a voluntary basis.

Were just starting to get on the up, and welcome additions to the forum like Gerry ( K20GRB ) Pez and Henry Roy regulary posting. I did get these three chaps wrong to start with, and ive apologised personally so being two-faced im not.

We also have a respected detailing members joining, and new members who have just joined.

I just think the forum, and the people on here are fantastic, and long may it continue.

I thought strongly before posting this, and I feel its the right thing to do as the forum may end up going in the wrong direction.

I'm cross with this thread as its totaly unesessary, you have shot your mouth off again without engaging brain just a few days after a public apology for doing just this and are now attacking the moderating team.

The reason the moderating team allow D2M to post up links for sale is that they are a trader, allowed to do as such and offer (thanks to Mo) a club discount for relevant parts - such as the AEM listed.

I'm sorry you feel agreived at having your posts deleted but it was due to the content being aggressive towards a trader offering a club discount - nothing to do with D2M's post content.

We do and have looked after the forum members best interests by allowing them to purchase from D2M at a club discount (again thanks to Mo). Anything that jepordises this club discount is not in the forum members best interest and as such was removed.

Your attack on D2M is not in the club, forum or forum members best interest and now you've turn those guns on us??

The public apology was rightfully made because I said things which were totally out of order to certain members, and I apologised by a phone call and private messages.

Gareth, to be fair I dont think its a direct attack at the mods or D2M, I have to agree with Paul regarding the list of modifications for sale by the trader. Also the AEM is not ATR specific so in reality not an ATR part or mod.
If they were to start offering the breadth of stuff that even Frans (katana) has gone to the trouble of sourcing from Japan then i would be in full support of your view, but as they clearly have not done so and are clearly mass posting on all jap forums??

As a rule i dont tend to get involved in any of this kind of squabble etc but its my opinion also that the company dont appear to be offering anything for us forum members! If you or D2M can point out to me the specific parts on special club discount to me I will happily eat my words an publicly retract this statement.

Gareth whats Mo got too do with D2M he is offering discounts from funky power as far as i no,i hear what your saying to Paul but he does have a point the traders just know are not offering anything for the ATR witch is a waste off time,they should post items regarding the ATR

If any traders listed up a page full of parts for the ATR, absolutely brilliant, thats fantastic for the forum.

But, the only thing certain traders have ever sold on this forum is basically hamp oil filters.

Right D2M have put up multiple posts in the traders sections, as is their right to do so. Some parts are relevent to the ATR (but not directly) and most parts are not.

I've thought about it and wondered if I'm being too leanient allowing them to post up their wares, but I can't see a problem - especialy as they may have parts for peoples 2nd cars or ATR parts for the future.

Its definitely not an issue that's worth all this aggro, and I really don't like the way they were attacked. An eloquent reasoned argument may well of had their threads deleted by now, but I feel we've treated them badly and as such they will stay on but future posts reviewed for content.
