I've been thinking about this for a while now and i've talked to a couple of members who agree,
how about we make this site for paid members only and before anybody says anything i know i'm not a paid
member but i would be prepared to pay as i have a lot of :love10: for this site and i like others have
noticed how in the last year the members registered has gone from around 1000 to 6000+ and this
seems to a brought a lot of morons to the forum.
I look back to when i first joined when the site was first formed and it was a great place to be where
there weren't as many morons and Ed and the mods didn't even need a recycle bin as everything
seemed to be relevent.
So could we please change the forum so that free members can only access a sort of newbie bit
and buying guide and make it a yearly subs for the the rest of us please.
So who's with me :agree:

How can membership and input ever increase if it's only for paid members, nobody will join "blind", don't think the idea is a goer TBH :(

Best way is to write more posts in the members section ;)

Costs me £40 to join GTOUK and then £20 to renew every year...and you know what, Its worth EVERY PENNY !! we NEVER have deleted posts, arguments and the likes of whats been going on here lately. I'm a mod on there and life is easy peasy. When you have to pay to join you end up with only TRUE enthusiasts signing up.

Just my 2 pennies worth

:agree:

Quick EDIT.

Non paid members only get 20 posts before they are locked out. That way you can get a feel for the club and ask a few noob questions before paying up. Also limited to certain sections.

how about a survey that must be completed by newbies showing them how to search and so forth.....

2 things gary....... the more threads posted the more chance of a thread being started that resembles another

and remember, yes we have 6000 memebers yet i'm sure everyone who years ago joined is still a member.....

maybe a few more moderators may help too :dunno:

Noel it doesn't matter how many mods you have we just need to stop the morons from ruining the friendly atmosphere we have built up here over the last 3 years.
