Hello all,

Im Chris, RAF technician living in Oxford

Just thought id register & say hi. im normally over on the ITR forum, but after a ride out in my brothers new ATR, I was highly impressed with it & am now strongly considering an ATR as a sporty family saloon...

My Teg is a milano red UKDM with a few choice tweaks. Tein coilovers, mugen CAI & twinloop, 98spec 4-1 mani & hiflow cat with an eCtune remap (196BHP/135lbs/ft) I love it to bits.

The quieter & more refined nature of the ATR is certainly appealling, im now 32 & additions to the family are not too far away, so it seems a logical choice  .

I like the fact the H22 engine is more torquey for everyday use, but top end urge feels a match for the integra

I have already had a quick look around, & recognise a few users from the ITR forum, so im guessing others have thought the same as me & consider the ATR a "grown-up" & civilised type-r :agree:

Id be very interested to hear the opinions of anybody who has made the same step...

cheers,

Chris

Hi chris,

Welcome to the forum. :hello2:

About a dozen of us have recently bought a 4.64 final drive on a group buy. This mod apparently gives better acceleration through the gears at the expense of a slightly lowered top speed of around 140mph. :agree:

Good luck with your search.

Cheers :agree:

Its a very complete car (especially with the tweaks)

I think a stock red facelift ATR would be my preference. Have to then resist the urge to tweak it!!

No doubt the missus will have babyseats & the like to spend any spare money on by then!!! :nono:

 Yup, pink in all the right places :p

Do the red ATR's suffer from "milano pink syndrome" too?

So pirates black on an ATR is the same as a championship white ITR so the legend goes eh?

The missus likes the red & i tend to agree with her! Might have to sacrifice the extra 10BHP of the pirates black cars

What's the mileage on the teg? Do like the Tegs - do CW go for a bit more?

Nighthawk Black is the best colour IMO - but a pisser to keep clean and just not quite as fast the silvers. :agree:

148k on the teg :o

Hides it well, & like all VTEC motors, they go forever if looked after properly :salute:

The CW cars tend to be most popular hence used to command a bit of a premium. Not really so much nowadays as the market is flat on its face!

That is a fair few miles but I know someone with over 150k on the clock and it is still mint.

Looking at the prices on the ITR website they seem to be advertised for a fair bit - perhaps they actually go for less though?

What sort of price would yours fetch?

A stock UK ITR with ~100k is still worth £4.5k+ depending on how mint it is IMO. Low mileage cars still fetch decent money!

Not sure on what mine is worth-a bit less no doubt, but then all the modifications are tasteful/proven & improve the driving experience (not to mention $$$'s)

Pretty sure i already have a buyer lined up too which is handy :p

Makes life much easier.

There is a really nice looking silver ATR for sale on here at the moment - I think some members have seen it in the flesh so can make comment on it better than I can - I just know it looks 8) and has low miles and decent mods.

oh god no, the ATR has a renowned colour that is far superior than all others, the myth goes there is CW beyond these waters... some even claim they have seen one in the flesh, will stop all beasts in it's tracks... [top gear voiceover] some say that the CW eats tarmac for breakfast and lolipop ladies for tea, and breeds with polar bears in the Antarctic [/top gear voiceover] 8)

p.s ITR CW is uber cool

Red pre-facelift ATR is the baddest of the bad (for old timers that means a good thing) 8) just so you know.

Like the DC2 though, lovely car, and welcome :agree:

I'm sure you'll find the perfect replacement for your Teg
