howdoodles all.

hopefully be joining your ranks very shortly. a few of you know me from the usual forums (crx-uk, civiclife, itr-dc etc etc) time to move off from a crx (had at least 7 over the last 10+ years) and get something more piratical to lug this about:

its my HARM bx2 1/5th scale 26cc 2 stroke powered buggy. they race them off road near me, cost jsut shy of £2000 new (all high grade billett alloy, carbon fiver and stainless steel, fast to hehe) it only jsut fits in the passenger footwell (its a tight squeeze!)

also my girlfriend needs a more comfortable ride after being in a car accident last year.

my car which is making way for the atr:

also the dog would like a better seating area lol

i think he is fed up with sliding around in the boot and strut brace lol

just praying the ATR will live up to my expectations, hopefully it will not that far off the crx (having very similar power) and hopefully be quick out of the box. will see when i get to drive one :)
it was either a h22 lude vti or an ATR. jsut hope i can resist the urge to build up a h23 bottom end and mate it to the atr head  !!!!

photo album is here of the crx from the last 2+ years of work from its matt black nastyness to how it is now.

http://s167.photobuc...48/aaran_album/

pirates black looks like a nice color so ill be quite happy spending a few days de-swirling it and getting all that nice purple flake to pop out under light :)

cheers!

not holding out for the atr being quite as fast and rapid but i am hopeing it will be sporty and comfy in comparison lol

how bigs the boot out of interest? is there a metal fire wall between the rear seats and boot or is it a rear seats drop forward job?

thanks!

The seats are fixed in position. If you remove the seats (physically unbolt them) then there is space to get between the passenger compartment and boot if you avoid the bracing.

Welcome aboard though, hopefully there will be someone local who can help you out with a ride in an ATR.

I used to race 1/10th Touring years ago :)
Hey presto, its a rarebit!

Im just outside of lincoln in metheringham mate, the ATR is a quick machine with a deal of comfort and plenty of space.

The rear seats dont fold down not sure if there is metal plate between back of the seats i spend more time in the front than the back (unless its relationship activities  ) , the boot is plenty big enough for a big tesco shop and a pushchair!

If you physically unbolt the rear seats you are left with this:

Yup they were optional extras, but you can sometimes pick up the motors/switches etc. Saw some for sale on here recently :agree:

Howdy, the main reason I bought my ATR, many moons ago, was to transport my racing gear and myself around the country to various tracks, whilst doing the Tamiya Eurocup. :D

Also contemplated starting fifth scale but gave up as the start up costs were too high. :(

As stated the ATR won't be as quick off the line as your old car but will make you smile when it shows you what it can do. :agree:
