I have someone interested in this as a job lot but just in case that falls through I wanted to put the feelers out and see if anyone was interested in taking the whole lot and completing it.

This would be an idea project for someone who wants to get their hands dirty and do some work i.e. not me!

From what I can see this is the list, with prices to give you an idea of how costly things get when you add them up.

All parts are brand new aside from the spares of course.

12 point cage, FIA and MSA approved with cert number - £3900
The cage is tied in to the rear box section, towers and subframe, front turrets and lower front members - very high-end! The rear doors have screw brackets to 'lock them' to stiffen up the car even more, this is better than welding them shut because you can still gain access to the rear.
4.7FD fitted to carbon clutchpack LSD, 1.5 or 2 way configurable - £1,400
Kevlar full bucket seat (WTCC Style and just 4.9kg) - £500
Ultra light Alu MSA approved mount - £120
Momo Porsche cup 2 button wheel and dust cover - £200
Lifeline CNC alu quick release - £160
Lifeline FIA rain light - £100
SPA dual oil gauge - £160
SPA dual water/volts - £160
Short shift adaptor - £40
Tanabe lower brace - £80
Oil catch tank - ??
Rear under brace - ??
Front spherical control arm bearings - ??
Front spherical lower joints - £90
Front solid spherical front torsion assembly - £100
Brake vents for rear of discs
Brake ducts for front bumper
Heavy duty (steel braided) brake ducting (3m) - all this lot cost £200
Spare drive shafts - worth about £250
Spare passenger headlamp - £220
Spare passenger doors in the right colour unmarked - £200
Full set of one-off flexiglass windows, MSA approved, drape formed - £400
Two 1m carbon fiber sheets for doors - £240
Brand new set of 16" white rota wheels
Brand new set of Parada tyres (testing and track days)
Front sub frame, painted, requires fitting to replace current damaged (flat spot on under side) one - could also stitch weld this to make it ultra stiff
OEM front splitter - £70
Rear deep valance (fib glass) - £120
BuddyClub Spec III exhaust - £450
De-cat, spacer and new o2 - £too much!
New dizzy cap, plugs, leads - £120
Some spare fuses, wires, fuse boxes and bits like that
Ignition switch and fuel primer
FIA heavy duty master cut - £60

In addition the car has a new 4.4kg flywheel, brand new Exedy 'racing' clutch, water pump, tensioner and belts, braided brake lines, new front bearings, Drilled discs (rears are brand new), DS3000 front, and the car has covered about 60k in total and registered 2001 (face lift). The car has had paint so after a mop should look lovely!

QRS still have the wide piston, 2-way piggyback reservoirs, full alu dampers bespoke to the car, they're worth £2,500 but have £1,000 outstanding on them. The blueprints came from Honda's Euro R race car in Japan. If you wanted them I could ask them to 'sell them on'. These are ultra high spec and high quality dampers, BTCC/WTCC spec and quality.

Any offers for the whole lot as splitting this would be a nightmare?

Car sold last year as the finished article for £8,000.

I had lots of debt when I started the project so was an idiot for even considering it, still not cleared all my debt but it's going at the rate of 1.5-2k per month, need to clear it all asap.

Gives you the opportunity to start with a clean sheet as and when you want to look at a track car in the future Ed. As the saying goes, onwards and upwards for whatever life has in store for you :agree:

good luck with the sale, that stuff's worth a fortune. Shame you're not finishing it, always looked forward to this one

Well I guess if someone offered me between £5-6k they could have it all, I really don't want the hassle of parting it all out!

In fact you could part it out and make that much from it anyway, perhaps even more.

I'm going to have a storage problem if I can't shift this, in light of that I'm going to let the whole lot go for £4,500.

Even if you were to split it you'd make money back.

I just don't have the time and soon won't have the space for the car and parts.

What's left to do on the car? I would love this as project but with a redundancy looming i might be selling my own car. I have driving Petes semi-track prepped teg and that is awesome but this when complete should be an animal. GLWTS and a Very good price.

The car is in the stage where it's come back from the cage fab.

So it needs to dash re-fitting with electrics which is the perfect opportunity to trim excess wires and the like and mount the fuse box in the car for easy access (if you wanted to do a proper job) and paint the cage as it's primed ready for whatever colour is required. Rattle cans or even rollers are fine for the inside of the car, you can get great results with either.

Glass windows need removing (the tricky rear is done) Flexiglass windows need installing which is a days job.

After that it's up to the owner as to how far they go with the suspension, personally I'd use the spare subframe that comes with the car and have it stitch welded so it's ultra stiff and get some appropriate dampers. Then fit the spherical bearings.

Finally the LSD needs fitting to replace the stock one.

For someone with a bit of time and know-how it's not a big task at all, someone will definitely enjoy finishing it off to their taste and have a track weapon that is both light and high on mechanical grip!
